Volt Fiber Internet
Affordable, high-speed fiber internet service for the members of Northeast Louisiana Power Cooperative.
Sorry for the long post, but we need to have a serious conversation with our community.![]()
Volt Broadband has seen a growing number of incidents involving gunfire damaging our fiber lines. Whether you’re aiming at birds on the line or intentionally targeting the infrastructure, this behavior is illegal and has real consequences.![]()
When a fiber line is hit, it doesn’t just affect one connection—it can take down internet service for entire neighborhoods. That means your friends, family, neighbors, local businesses, and even emergency communications can be disrupted. The result is frustration for everyone and costly repairs that impact the whole community.![]()
We also want to be transparent: Volt Broadband has not increased prices on our internet packages since day one. However, incidents like these create significant and avoidable repair costs. Continued damage to infrastructure is one of the factors that could eventually force price increases—something we work hard every day to avoid.![]()
We understand that it’s not always easy to identify who is responsible, but please be aware: we will take every possible step to investigate these incidents. If a responsible party is identified, we will pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law.![]()
We’re asking for your help—be mindful, spread the word, and help us protect the infrastructure that keeps our community connected.![]()
Let’s work together to keep everyone online.
🚨 Internet Outage 🚨![]()
Someone shot and damaged one of our main fiber lines again, and it has caused an outage for over 100 customers in Goodwill.![]()
We know this is very frustrating, and we are sorry you’re without internet. Things like bad weather can’t always be prevented, but this kind of damage should not be happening.![]()
Our crew is working as fast as possible to fix it.![]()
If you saw anything or have any information about what happened, please contact our office. We would love to know!!

We are currently experiencing a service outage in the Goodwill Louisiana area. Our crews are actively working to assess the situation.![]()
At this time, the cause of the outage and an estimated time for restoration are unknown. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.![]()
Thank you for your patience.
🚧 Crowville Fiber Repair Notice 🚧![]()
We’ll be performing necessary fiber repairs on Wednesday, April 8 starting at 10:00 AM, which may take up to 8 hours. During this time, about 100 customers in the Crowville area may experience a temporary service outage.![]()

Community Reminder:
Our fiber network serves your neighbors, schools, and local businesses. Damage—like gunshots to lines—can disrupt service for hundreds of people. We ask everyone to please be mindful around utility infrastructure and help protect these critical connections.![]()
If you have any information about the incident, we encourage you to contact us or local authorities.
